Directed by Flying Lotus, this 2025 film was written by Jonni Remmler. It gave me vibes of Alien (1979), Aliens (1986), Event Horizon (1997), and Life (2017).

Ash (2025) takes us to a space station where Riya (Eiza González) wakes up to find her entire crew slaughtered with no memory of who she is, where she is, or why she is there.
She gets disturbing flashbacks, a la Event Horizon, that you don’t quite see, but your subconscious mind surely has picked up, and you may well dream about them tonight.
The movie does circle back at the end for actual visuals, so if you wanted to catch them. They’re there when Riya eventually recalls what happens.
