An adaptation from a novel of the same name, Badjelly stretches the premise to a full series, two kids looking after their cow after a witch down on her luck kidnaps her. To these ends the series introduces quite the cast of new characters, and each episode brings the kids closer to completing their quest.
The animation is quite lovely if a bit flat. The characters have added nuance as this is now a series, but the titular bad witch is a deliciously hilarious antagonist.
A strong recommendation.
