Bernie Sanders is Right. The Looming Medicaid Cuts Are a Death Sentence.

Your life is secondary to profit.

As we know, President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” is one step closer to passing. In it, of course, are looming cuts to the medicaid budget that would result in millions of people losing their healthcare and the wealthy getting a tax cut. But none other than Bernie Sanders is weighing in, reminding us of what’s at stake and warning us in a recent interview that it is a death sentence.

He is right.

Thousands and thousands of people will die if this is passed.

But when they push all these people off of medicaid and leave them, in the richest society in the world, to fend for themselves, they’re not shy at all about reminding us that they view the poorest, most vulnerable people among us as nothing more than collateral damage. They want to fundamentally change the nation with this piece of legislation and entrench longstanding suffering that’s only going to get worse as they do it.

It’s so bad, even Republican Senator Thom Tillis has spoken out vehemently against it and has decided he will not run for reelection for his Senate seat.
