I’m on a roll reading the various novels in Karen M. McManus’ repertoire. Her books all basically have the same premise… they are thriller/mystery novels that are mostly for young adult readers.
They all have the same vibe as the old Freeform television show named, The Pretty Little Liars. Still, each book has its own unique spin. And I typically enjoy reading them (which is why I continue to read her books.)
The newest book that I read by McManus is the book named, “Nothing More to Tell.” “Nothing More to Tell,” is about a young woman named Brynn Gallagher. Brynn moves back to her old hometown named Sturgis. She will return for her senior year of high-school and will attend Saint Ambrose Prep School.
While Brynn is at Saint Ambrose, she is also involved in a True Crime show named Motive as one of the show’s newest interns. During Brynn’s interview to be an intern for Motive, Brynn pitches an idea to the head broadcaster-in-charge:
There was a mysterious death in Sturgis when Brynn was in middle-school. The person who died was Brynn’s favorite middle-school teacher… and no culprit was ever found and tried. Brynn thinks that there may be a story to tell if Motive decides to poke around the unsolved case.
