Such Charming Liars is a great thriller and mystery novel written by the woman named Karen M. McManus.
It’s another one of McManus’ books with a mysterious death that a bunch of kids find themselves drawn into; however, this book is a little different than the writer’s other novels.
Such Charming Liars is a heist book — a book focused on a complicated type-of-plan behind a theft.
In this book, the main characters are named Kat, Liam, and Augustus. Kat and Liam are pseudo-brother-and-sister. The perspective of the book bounces back-and-forth between these two characters chapter-by-chapter.
Years ago when Kat and Liam were around 5-years-old, the two’s parents were married at a hasty wedding in Las Vegas.
Just as soon as the two’s parents were married, they separate from one another. This is partly due to the fact that Kat and Liam were left unsupervised when the two’s parents were off together, and Kat and Liam ended up lost. This traumatic incident is a huge event that affected both Kat and Liam’s lives in ways that they uncover as the book unfolds.
In Such Charming Liars, Kat and Liam meet each other once again years after the two’s parents quick wedding in Las Vegas. Kat and Liam are no longer the children that they once were when they first met years ago.
