400 pages
Synopsis:
Victor and Eli are at the top of their game at college. They are in a constant battle to see who is the smartest, most brilliant college student. Eli decides to make his senior thesis on the existence of EOs (extraordinary people) and how they were created. Victor in true one upmanship decided to push Eli into not only theorizing about how people become EOs, but trying to make themselves into EOs. The only problem is that to become an EO one must survive a near-death experience. After a death while trying to become an EO, our characters divide themselves into the hero vs the villain. Which one will win in the end?
Review:
A perfect science fiction novel with just enough science and action to create an engaging, interesting read. The story is fast-paced while switching from the past to the present. While many of the chapters are from Victor’s point of view, other character’s perspectives are sprinkled throughout the novel as well.
I loved this novel, and couldn’t put it down. The characters are inherently flawed while one meets his flaws head on, the other denies his flaws and instead believes himself above flaws…
