Built my own AI health analyst after ChatGPT restricted medical advice – saves me hours of research and remembers my complete health history

Hey everyone, I wanted to share something I built after chatgpt recently changed their policies around medical advice

So I used to do all my health research and symptom analysis on chatgpt like looking up lab results, trying to figure out if something needs a doctor visit, understanding medications. But their recent updated to restrict medical advice really messed up my use case. Basically they toned down what they'll help with for medical stuff, which I get from a liability standpoint, but it left me without my go-to research tool.

So I ended up building the Personal Medical Analyst to fill that gap – and honestly made it way better for my specific needs.

what it does:

  • analyzes symptoms in context – evaluates what you're experiencing against your medical history, current meds, and risk factors
  • explains test results and medications – breaks down lab work, imaging, prescriptions in plain language
  • intelligent triage – helps figure out if something needs a doctor visit now, can wait, or you can monitor at home
  • tracks patterns over time – remembers everything so it spots trends (like that cough you mentioned 3 months ago)
  • cites medical literature – links to actual studies and clinical guidelines
  • proactive tools – creates symptom logs, sets med reminders, generates doctor visit prep docs

The key is keeping everything in one chat thread so it builds a complete medical history – just like having a personal physician who's known you for years. Saves me 60-80% of the time I used to spend researching health stuff online, and my doctor appointments are way more productive because I show up with better questions.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: obviously this isn't a doctor and doesn't replace medical advice – it's an analyst that helps you understand your health situation and have better conversations with your actual healthcare providers.

I'll drop the link in the comments. if you have questions about how it works or concerns about AI therapy in general, I'm happy to discuss.
