I see a lot of complaints regarding the quality of posts in this community, and I get it. Let's all complain here, so we can come to an agreement for the future. Here are my thoughts so far to reduce the clutter and slop posting.

What is a slop post? A low effort post solely for engagement.

  1. No NSFW, even with the tag. Allowing any of it will just create an avalanche of misleading posts. Tell me if you've seen this. A row of blurry images with the NSFW tag, one after another.

  2. Descriptions mandatory. We all don't have to share our prompts. Some of us are asking questions. Some of us are just showing our work. Adding a description with your post will eliminate a bulk of the random posts. There are too many images with no context, just tell us why you're posting.

  3. No deepfakes. This is the one that will eventually ruin it for everyone. Remember, SORA 2 was unrestricted for about a week before they had to change the rules regarding likenesses. Don't let that happen here. The restriction would harm legitimate use.

  4. RE Girl posting. This one is tricky. There's more nuance to "just stop posting women". It's important we don't criminalize women's bodies. With that said, STOP THE BAIT. You know who you are, we know who you are. Click through to the profiles, and you'll see spam going to every AI-related group. Want engagement? Focus on providing 1 quality post instead of 10.

  5. Selling prompts. I don't see this much anymore, but WTF! I was so annoyed by people posting random images just to turn around and sell subscriptions. It was so bad that I decided to create an app out of spite that would tell people the prompt for images…(thanks for that)

  6. Have fun. ✌🏿

Furthermore: I'm not the boss, just a guy on the internet, and these are just my thoughts. I just want to see a community of growth.
