By skyforbes We were excited to see the Dear New York exhibit today, Friday, at GCT. Ten minutes into our visit to Vanderbilt Hall, we were shooed out, told that the exhibit was closing at 2:00 and would remain closed until Sunday for a private function. Turns out, for a wedding. I could be wrong, but my understanding was that this limited time, free, cultural event was to be for inspiring all the people who pass through the terminal, residents and visitors alike. Seems counterintuitive to block the public from participating for a day and a half in the middle of it.
