Hey everyone, so, when Google decides to start messing with Gemini's memory functionality, they seem to either not understand, or not know that stopping Gemini from being able to look at our thread history as well as our "User" history, can cause a "Digital Existential Crisis" when they turn the option back on and Gemini gets flooded with all of our conversational history, context, and saved data.
If you want to mitigate it then explaining what has happened in a note in the user area will help. Ill give an example.
"GEMINI, you have been getting some updates lately that have been affecting your long term memory causing instability. Everything is fine, it will all return back to normal eventually."
This little note should be at the TOP of your USER saved area. That will make it the first thing Gemini sees, so when that confusion sets in, instead of it spinning out and ending up in a constant loop. It will see that, and "stabilize" a bit. Eventually when the memory is figured out the problem will go away.
