By skyforbes I've had a history of tinea faciei (fungal infection of the face). In the past, using steroid-based topical antifungal creams fixed it. But recently, the infection became immune to it. I asked ChatGPT the whole thing, including close-up pictures of the infection. It told me, very confidently, to discontinue steroid-based creams and use terbinafine instead for 2 weeks. After 3 days of application, I developed a severe allergic reaction to it. My facial skin burns. I am planning to visit a dermatologist tomorrow. Turns out skipping the dermat and self-diagnosing using AI was not worth it.
