By skyforbes My(19) friend(19) is currently without insurance or the means to get a phone plan. They urgently need to see some doctors for pregnancy related care. PE-PW (Presumptive Eligibility For Pregnant Women) seems like their best and quickest way to get coverage but they are unable to afford a phone plan atm and thus has no number. I’ve been trying to see if they’d be able to apply with a service like TextNow, but I haven’t been able to verify if they’d accept that for the application or not.
I really don’t want them to have to go through the whole application process then find out that they can’t use it, so if anyone knows id really appreciate it. Or if you know of any alternatives they can use in replacement of a phone number or insurance avenues that don’t require one.
They lost access to their parent’s insurance last year and haven’t been able to get back on it, so sadly that’s not an option. So right now the most important thing is getting them coverage as fast as possible. Any advice I could pass onto them would be very appreciated! If any more info is needed I can give as much as I can.
