does anyone have good prompt engineering tips to making better mock up images?

So I work in product development where i’m constantly having images made of the same item in different pantone colors and materials. This has been a life saver because my director would make me design these by hand and it took so long just for him to change his mind. he can’t form images in his head or imagine things with variations (which tbh makes someone unqualified for the job but whatever).

Now the problem is, Chatgpt never follows instructions exactly and I can’t get it to make multiple images of the same item in different materials, colors, and other variations. each variation comes out differently because it has to make the image over again from the beginning.

is there any prompt engineering to help with making multiple images so making the same image with variations? I have the Chatgpt Plus version if that helps.

my director is convinced when chatgpt makes something incorrectly in the image, it’s my fault because the prompt wasn’t good enough (i have shown him otherwise and ai just fucks up images but he doesn’t care cus he thinks i’m making excuses). I even asked chatgpt “what would be the most detailed instruction to give ai to make an image of X” I usually just edit them in canva, but that slows me down.
