By skyforbes So, we had to order a home version gaming rig for a project.. we decided to customize the bios and disable tpm etc… we discovered that the drive comes pre encrypted and you can only get the key from cmd by running manage-bde -protectors -get C:
if you do this without the key, the drive is bricked, you need to boot from usb and wipe and in this case, get the legion iso from lenovo direct for simplicity and drivers etc… Vendors dont' tell you this.. you have to figure it out the hard way.. I assume this is also a biproduct of ordering a non pro windows OS… LIt's shame there is no bios warning .. before doing it… Lesson learned..
