Ever get an elderly family member to play a video game for the first time?

Have you ever got an elderly family member to try a video game for the first time? Maybe it was a relative who doesn't understand the appeal in video games, or outright thought it was a waste of time. Or maybe they just think video games are only meant for children.

I was able to get my dad, who is not great with tech in general, to play Gran Turismo on the PS1 back in the day. It's the only video game he ever really played and I remember him really getting into it. I've been thinking about getting him a racing wheel so he can try some newer racing games. I think he'd get a kick out of that.

What are your stories about how you got an elderly family member to play their first video game? Did they enjoy it? Or did they end up still being indifferent about it?
