The trailer begins with Anastasia Steel (Dakot Johnson) she’s inside an elevator.
DING!
You hear her voiceover, “So this is just an interview for the newspaper.”
She walked inside the office. She is wildly underdressed. Anastasia wore a ruffled floral dress shirt with a blue sweater on top.
“I just have a couple of questions.”
Everyone in the office wore a power suit. All the staff, mostly female, all looking like supermodels, including the front desk lady.
“Mr. Grey will see you now,” the front desk lady told her.
Another woman in a grey power suit, who looks like a model, brought Anastasia inside the office. It’s a LARGE high-end office with floor-to-ceiling walls overlooking the city skyline. She saw Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) brooding over the view of the city.
“What was he like?” you hear the voice of another woman. You can assume it’s Anastasia’s friend, probably asking her about the interview with Christian Grey.
You hear Anastasia’s voice, “He was…polite. Intense. Smart…..Really intimidating.”
It cuts to Anastasia inside Christian’s office. She sat on a white accent chair, writing in her notebook. Christian Grey remained standing.
“Do you have any interests outside of work?” she asked him.
“What about you?” Oh my God! Christian Grey sat beside her. “I’d like to know more about you.”
“There’s really not much to know about me,” Anastasia smiled. She looked down, timidly. “I mean, look at me.” When she looked back up, Christian Grey was staring at her.
“I am,” he said with a smirk.
The two stared into each other’s eyes for a second too long.
The unintentionally STEAMY interview ended. Christian Grey stared at her all the time, right to the last second when the elevator door closed on her face.
But you get more voice-overs of their interview.
“To what do you owe your success?” she asked.
It cuts to Christian Grey in a corporate pictorial. Cameras flashed all around him. It cuts to him inside his car. He has a driver, of course. Christian Grey is the CEO of Grey Enterprises Holdings, Inc. It covers every industry you could think of. Let’s name a few:
- Communication technologies
- Sustainable energy
- Intelligent systems development
- Manufacturing
- Aerospace
- Real estate
“I exercise control in all things, Ms. Steele,” Grey responded.
It cuts to Anastasia and Christian walking in a park. Are they dating already? It cuts to them at a coffee shop.
“It must be really boring,” Anastasia told him.
Christian Grey looked up to stare at her eyes.
It cuts to inside a red elevator. As the door closes, Christian Grey grabs Anastasia Steele’s face and MAKES OUT WITH HER. He pinned her arms up, trapping her in the elevator walls.

The Worldwide Phenomenon
It cuts to a helipad at night. A timid, smiling Anastasia walked towards the chopper. Christian is standing beside it. GREY is printed on the door of the chopper, which in itself had the colors white and grey. They then have a date while flying the chopper. I call this the ‘Magic Carpet Ride’ scene. In every love story, the middle of the movie is usually a date where you see the couple truly happy. They might kiss at the end of the date, but sometimes it happens towards the end of the movie. The inspiration, you can predict, is Aladdin. The Magic Carpet Ride date happened in the middle of Aladdin. It’s also when they play the main theme song of the movie.
On a date at home. “I’m incapable of leaving you alone,” Christian told Anastasia as he pulled her right arm into his ass.
They looked into each other’s eyes. “Then don’t,” Anastasia told him. He then caressed her right cheek.
Comes to Life
It cuts to Anastasia and Christian in a penthouse. Anastasia walked in wearing a white nightgown for sleeping. Christian wore a tight black t-shirt while brooding over a grand piano.
“I had a rough start in life,” he told her. “You should steer clear from me.”
It cuts to Anastasia and Christian making out in bed.
It cuts to Anastasia and Christian at a dinner with, I presume, Anastasia’s friends and family.
“I don’t do romance,” you hear Christian’s voice.
It cuts to under the table as Christian caresses the right leg and thigh of Anastasia.
It cuts to a shirtless Christian Grey walking around his penthouse wearing jeans.
“My tastes are very…singular,” Christian told her. “You wouldn’t understand.”
It cuts to a shirtless Christian Grey kneeling in bed in front of Anastasia. She looked up and stared at Christian’s eyes. “Enlighten me, then.”
It cuts to Christian Grey opening the locks of a ‘mysterious’ room. Anastasia entered.
It cuts to Anastasia’s arms chained on leather handcuffs.
It cuts to her hands caressing the thorns inside his room.
It cuts to a naked Christian Grey in a bathroom. Behind him, Anastasia took off her clothes.
It cuts to Christian using a whip, caressing the naked back of Anastasia.
It cuts to Christian Grey carrying Anastasia Steele.
It cuts to Anastasia tied in a red bed with her arms tied and eyes covered.
“Uhhhhhhhhh!,” as she moans in pleasure, or pain, maybe both.
