Step Closer
Pete is a 16-year-old boy who tries to scare his younger brother at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, but his prank backfires. Pete encounters a broken-down Foxy in the maintenance room who sings a song about how you have to lose an eye and an arm in order to be a pirate.
After the encounter, Pete keeps having strange accidents, accidents that nearly cost him an eye or a hand. Can he figure out what’s going on and stop it before he loses some body parts?
Dance with Me
Kasey is a young woman living on the streets and stealing purses to survive. One night, she steals a pair of novelty glasses from Circus Baby’s Pizza World, and whenever she puts them on, she sees Ballora, dancing, always getting closer and closer. Even fleeing the city isn’t enough to escape the animatronic. What will happen when Ballora reaches her?
Coming Home
Susie’s (one of the victims of the Missing Children Incident from the games) ghost keeps visiting her old home every day, but Chica comes to take her away every night. She tries to communicate with her sister via drawings about something she needs, a missing doll, but Samantha is having a hard time deciphering the message. She only has two more days to figure out the clues and find the doll, or Susie’s spirit may never find peace.
My Thoughts
Fazbear Frights #4 is the weakest entry in the series so far. I didn’t really like any of the stories. “Step Closer” was boring and “Dance with Me” and “Coming Home” didn’t have satisfying resolutions. The best part was the epilogue where we get to learn more about the Stitchwraith and how it connects to some of the past stories, but that short snippet wasn’t enough to make up for the rest of the book.
My Rating: 3/5
