I just got a phone call from my doctor’s office. They called, not to give me the referral information that I need to see a specialist about my gall bladder, but to give me the news that my medical plan (Simply Healthcare) no longer accepts Medicaid. WTF???? The Florida Health Care System SUCKS!!!!!
I have prescriptions that I need to get filled — if I don’t get them, I could have negative consequences. What the hell am I supposed to do (rhetorical question, here)?
That’s the problem here in Florida (I don’t know how it is in other states, other than Wisconsin). The medicaid system, which is supposed to be federal — I thought, is not accepted by most clinics. How the hell are we, the people who need Medicaid, supposed to get health care?
In Wisconsin, at least when I lived there — 2 1/2 years ago, the medical system was called BadgerCare. It was a well run, well put together system that covered pretty much everything. There were not many different plans to have to weed through. Most doctors accepted the plan.
Florida is such an ass backwards, needs to get with the times, state. Governor Ron DeSantis doesn’t care about the people — all he cares about is his, and his cronies, pocketbook!
Florida needs to adopt a system like Wisconsin has/had. It was so much simpler.
OR… the United States could do this…
Follow the Canadian method of providing health care!
Now, I think the Canadians have got it right! Up there, health care is basically FREE!

Simple!
It’s paid for using tax money. The tax on the Canadian GDP is about 33% (roughly). The tax on the US GDP is (roughly) 28%. If the United States just increased the tax rate oh, maybe by 5%, this would create enough of an increase so that the health care would be covered. EVERY person in the US would have access to medical coverage.
Also… There would need to be a stipulation in the law that states —
ALL PROVIDERS “MUST” ACCEPT THE FEDERAL AID!
There… Health Care problem fixed!
Now, how do I get this proposal to President Biden — and passed in the House and Senate — Especially with all of the idiotic and selfish old farts (the nicest thing I could come up with) in office.
