Forced to stay on Gemini 2.5

Hi everyone,
​I'm using the Gemini Code Assist extension in VS Code and I need some help with the model configuration.
​The Issue:
I have a subscription that gives me access to Gemini 3 Pro, but the VS Code extension seems to be defaulting to Gemini 2.5 (or potentially Flash). I want it to use the newer, smarter Gemini 3 Pro model for my coding tasks, but I can't find a setting to change this.
