Forget AI Startups. I made $10k with ChatGPT.

Everyone’s talking about building the next AI startup. That’s not what I did.

Instead, I used ChatGPT to create a few simple digital products, and they’ve made me over $10,000 on Gumroad.

No code. No employees. No ads. Just ChatGPT and a laptop.

When ChatGPT first exploded, I did what everyone did: brainstormed startup ideas. Some clever AI platform or app that would “change the world.” Every idea sounded exciting — until I realized they all required time, money, and a dev team.

So I changed my approach. I stopped trying to build AI and started thinking about how to use it.

ChatGPT Gave Me My First Product Idea

I asked ChatGPT one simple question: “What kinds of digital products are trending that I could create using AI?”

It listed eBooks, guides, and prompt libraries, things that sounded too simple to work. But one stood out: AI music prompts.

I checked Google and realized no one had created a complete guide yet.

ChatGPT helped me brainstorm and refine ideas, generate hundreds of creative prompts, and even write the descriptions. I edited, formatted, and designed it in Canva, uploaded it to Gumroad, and priced it at $4.99.

Sales started the next day.

ChatGPT Helped Me With Everything

After that first product, I used ChatGPT for everything — titles, descriptions, SEO keywords, even blog outlines.

When I wasn’t sure how to write a sales page, I’d ask: “Write a short, clear Gumroad description for [product]. Make it sound helpful, not salesy.”

It would give me a professional, conversion-ready draft in seconds. I’d tweak the tone, add visuals, and publish.

And when I needed traffic, I turned to Medium — not ads, not social media.

How I Got Traffic Without Paying for It

Medium became my secret weapon. It’s not just a blogging site — it’s a search engine. When you write articles that solve real problems, they rank on Google.

I started writing about topics related to my products — AI music prompts, creative tools, and lessons learned from building digital products. Each article gave away value for free, and at the end, I’d include a natural mention of my Gumroad guide.

Those posts now bring in thousands of views every month. One single article still drives consistent sales, months after it was published.

That’s the beauty of evergreen content — it compounds.

The Real Lesson

ChatGPT didn’t replace my creativity. It amplified it.

It took care of the blank pages, the tedious drafts, the constant rewriting — freeing me up to focus on the ideas, not the friction.

The secret isn’t to build the next big AI company. It’s to use AI to do small things better and faster.

I didn’t raise money, hire developers, or chase investors. I just used ChatGPT to create useful content, package it into something valuable, and share it online.

Want to Learn How I Did It?

I put everything I learned into a practical guide called Gumroad Gold: The Marketing Strategies Playbook — the same system that helped me turn ChatGPT prompts into $10K in digital product sales.

It includes screenshots, templates, and examples you can use right away. Normally $50, but it’s $14.99 for launch.
