Format question for a Noobie

Me and my wife are going to see the Avatar Fire and Ass on Friday. My question is this:
Am I better off seeing it in Screenx, ACX, or regular Laser 2d?

I know the preferred method to watch these movies is imax 3d, but it will make my wife sick and then I have to listen to her complain for the ride home and the rest of the day( I love her I swear)

This would be in rochester,NY if that helps.
