The GB Operator, short for Game Boy Operator, is a simple yet powerful little device. It’s designed to read Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Color, and original Game Boy cartridges.

In this day and age, it’s pretty expensive to get your hands on a Game Boy Advance SP. Since they’re no longer in production, your only options are used ones online, often going for as much as $200. Even then, you’re still limited to early 2000s hardware, which, let’s be honest, doesn’t look quite the same now that we’re older as it did when we were kids.

That’s where the GB Operator comes in. Think of it as a cartridge slot for your computer. It works with Mac, Linux, and Windows, allowing you to play your own Game Boy cartridges directly from the cart itself. You can even save directly back to the cartridge, pop it into your Game Boy, and continue playing right where you left off.
