I subscribed to Gemini Pro because I heard the issue with low image resolution had finally been fixed. However, despite many attempts (using the “Create Image” function, switching to “Thinking” instead of “Fast”), and crafting very precise prompts that explicitly instructed Gemini to maintain or improve the image quality, the results were always disappointing.
The edited image consistently ended up with drastically lower quality. The file size dropped significantly every time — for example, from 30 MB originally down to only 2–6 MB after processing.
You can also see this in the zoomed-in comparison I attached: on the left is the generated image, on the right is my original upload.
I tried both JPG and PNG formats.
Support recommended logging out and back in, but that didn’t change anything.
Any solutions?
