By skyforbes I have a persistent issue (still there in Pro 3 thinking) where Gemini will go back to the previous prompt in a conversation. Eg I ask “What do you think about X?” It responds about X. Then I ask “Ok but what about Y?” And it goes back to repeat its thoughts about X, perhaps reworded, perhaps it will get around to adding something about Y, but not always.
This doesn’t always happen and I think it might correlate with the context window getting full, but not sure. Recently I had a thread where it jumped way back in the conversation to something we weren’t even talking about anymore, but that was definitely pushing context limits.
Anyone else get this? Any mitigation?
