By skyforbes Just wanted to share this in case anyone else got charged while trying to claim the ChatGPT Go “free trial.”
I was charged ₹399 through Google Play (via PhonePe), even though it said free trial. I emailed Google Play support explaining the situation, and they refunded me within 12 hours.
Here’s exactly what I wrote in the email:
“I thought I was claiming a free trial, but I was charged ₹399 accidentally. I tried to claim the free ChatGPT Go trial through Google Play on <DATE>, but ₹399 was charged via PhonePe by mistake. Please issue refund ASAP.”
So if this happened to you, don’t panic ,just contact Google Play support. They respond quickly and handle it smoothly.
