I have a massage business and a web development business — where I do web design, web development, SEO, and blah blah blah… Anyway, I have a few businesses that need reviews, especially on Google Business pages. I know how to get it done quickly and easily. I am not going to drag this out. I am going to list two keys to easy Google reviews, then explain them briefly.
- Do free 20-minute consults or give something free and ask for their opinion of the service in a review.
- Tell your client what to say and send them a link to your review page.
Ok, the first one must make sense. You have to give a sample of your service, then ask for a review. It is important to note that while you might sound like you are asking for a review in exchange for a sample, it can’t be framed this way. Google is watching. Ask for a review after the customer receives their free consult or sample.
The second tip gets me yelled at, but when I start a new business page on Google, I get 10 reviews after asking 12 people to leave a review almost every time. Your Google review needs to include keywords you want to rank for. You likely know what your customer liked or enjoyed about your service. Ask them to incorporate both what they liked and keywords. You can write the review for them, ask them if they agree, and then send them a link to your Google review page. Now all they have to do is copy and paste. Not everyone agrees with this method, but it works, and any business willing to use it will get reviews while you sit begging for them.
