Has there ever been a movie where everyone was overacting all the time?

I'm talking like that infamous scene of Gary Oldman screaming "EVERYONE" in "Léon" with his head vibrating with the strain. I've seen plenty of movies with this actor or that one overacting, but has it ever been an intentional theme? I feel like it might be funny in a comedy. Obviously not something you'd want in a drama meant to be taken seriously.

Even some of the sillier comedies I've seen have some pretty mellow performances, like the dialed back flat affect of Kung Fury from the eponymous film.
