38F ILLINOIS Any help is grately appreciated! To preface I have been with same doctor and same pharmacy for almost 5 years. Every month my prescription is sent to the same pharmacy for 20mg 2x daily Adderall. Therapist is thru them as well. Fast forward to present day I am in a new program where they help you find housing but you stay in a residential/nursing home setting which has its own nursing staff 24hrs a day disbursing medication that's connected to their own doctors. So when I got here their doctor refused to fill my 2x daily and said she'd only do once daily or i am welcome to have my own doctor still. So with out me asking she proceeded to send in 1x daily of Adderall and prior authorization to insurance which then gets accepted. Only problem is I do not want to take their medicine and I went to fill my normal prescription of 2x daily with my previous doctor of 5 years and my marianos pharmacist said he can not fill it until I get them at the other pharmacy to cancel it. I asked staff here and they said they can't. My question is how do I get their pharmacy (the one connected to the nursing home) to cancel the prescription? I wont see the doctor for weeks to ask her to remove it.(I was told essentially it's all about money and how they maximize profit out of me the patient). Can I call my insurance company Molina, and tell them I never picked up said prescription and not going to and please cancel the prior authorization? Any help with this is much appreciated!! Thank you all…
