By skyforbes dont get me wrong, i LOVE how extra and pretty all the new looks are. however, i feel like drag race has legitimately become about who can buy the most extravagant garment, and having the highest quality of everything! mistress isabelle brooks talked abt how she spent SIX FIGURES on her looks for the show, lexi love took out a second mortgage for her looks, and Miz Cracker talked about how she took out a loan to pay for her looks. people are putting their financial future in jeopardy in order to be on a reality tv show??? its first off INSANE to me, but i also feel like the show shouldnt be who has the biggest paycheck, but genuinely create a bigger emphasis in sewing challenges. i miss the mediocre drag looks, and i feel like when every piece looks like its worth hundreds, theres nothing compelling or interesting, its all one note. i also feel like there have genuinely been less sewing challenges as the time goes on and i just truly hate how the show (at least to me) feels like a pay to win now :/
