How long will my mom be ineligible for Medicaid? IL

My mom has just inherited $42,000 with possibly another $10,000 coming, but would rather not have anything. She is on IL Medicaid as of this year or last, and is finally able to afford doctors and medication for her many health problems. This inheritance will push her out of eligibility for Medicaid. The inheritance may not be enough to cover her medical and other needs this year, and I really don’t want to see her go through another major issue without the benefits she currently has.

It’s extremely unlikely she’ll be able to find a job with benefits. She was working a part time cash job but that opportunity is over now. She also lives alone. The inheritance check came with a Beneficiary Share of Income, Credits, etc Schedule K tax form that for some reason says tax year 2024 on it. I have not seen the form myself. The letter is dated August 29, and the envelope is dated September 6. I’m not sure if any of that matters.

My question:
How long will my mom be ineligible for Medicaid, is there any way around this, and is there any way to limit ineligibility to only this calendar year?

Advice on finding a private health insurance option is also appreciated.

I do not know much about taxes or Medicaid and may or may not be able to get more details from her. I don’t live close by and don’t really know how to help her right now.
