How To Become a Successful Pinterest VA Without Any Experience — Haskin Creatives

Here’s some answers to burning questions about becoming a Pinterest Manager:

I’m an absolute beginner and know nothing about Pinterest Marketing. Can I take the course?

The course caters for absolute beginners teaching you absolutely everything you need to know from setting up and creating a Pinterest account to designing pins and writing pin descriptions. There are step by step video tutorials and you simply cannot go wrong.

I’ve invested in Pinterest marketing courses in the past that only covered the basics and didn’t have any substance. I wanted this program to offer more than what we are usually told about Pinterest marketing – giving as much value and insight as I possibly can after 6 years in the industry. The course also includes advice on creating a website for your business, how to onboard and get clients, monthly reports and interviews. Whether you’re a beginner or someone really wanting to take your interests in Pinterest seriously, this course is for you.

How much do you make as a Pinterest Manager?

Beginner Pinterest VAs can charge anything between $300-$400 for Pinterest Monthly Management when starting out. With this rate in mind you could easily make $2k with only 5 clients. When you’re first starting out getting 5 clients can seem like a mammoth task, but considering how many businesses there are out there (millions!) it really isn’t that hard. Earning potential after that is limitless and depends on how much time you have available to put towards managing accounts and growing your business. Generally as a full time Pinterest Manager you can expect to earn anything between $3,000 and $5,000. I currently earn $30k monthly from managing Pinterest accounts and have a full time team of three who assist me.

Do you need to do anything to prepare for the course? What if I’m a slow learner?

The course is self-paced so you can take as long as you need to complete it. I created with a 30 day timeframe in mind hoping that whoever wants to really move forward with creating their business could have that goal in mind. You’ll only need a few hours a week to watch the lessons and put it all into practice. If you do everything I recommend in the course (with minor adjustments based on your own goals) you should be able to create your business and secure your first clients within a month.

You have lifetime access to the course and can refer back to it whenever needed. As the course is catered for all levels, you need not have any prior experience with Pinterest. A general interest in social media, technology and design is helpful for you to continue your own learning after the course and to develop your own style.

It seems rather expensive to me. Is it really worth it?

If you’re committed to putting in the work and completing the course, you’re bound to start a successful business that earns you back the course investment and more. Your first client will make you back the course investment! Starting a business requires investments and this is relatively low considering I now make 20x more than my teaching salary as a Pinterest Manager. There are also other startup costs that go along with this investment, things like: website domains, Canva professional. These are minimal but good to be aware of.

Social Media and algorithms are forever changing, how do you continue to get support and updates?

The course is regularly updated and always stays on top of the current trends. Business and this line of work does require you to be a go-getter and be a lifelong learner, so doing your own research and being generally interested helps with this. I love listening to podcasts and reading blog posts from a variety of sources to to up to date.

Is Pinterest Marketing really a growing field or is it already saturated with VAs?

I get new client inquiries every single week through my website and Pinterest is a relatively new platform for businesses to use – there is definitely still a demand for it if you can show you deliver what people want. This isn’t a “get rich quick” scheme (spoiler alert: nothing ever is) so it requires hard work, patience and stepping out of your comfort zone.
