Tammy, my husband beat me unconcious and then kept on beating me. He had all his friends and family hating me, when I tried to leave he beat with a hammer until I was unconcious. We were in his dad’s truck. My next memory was me waking up to the rear tire of the truck on my chest. He drove between my legs and over my body. Had I not screamed at him I think he was headed for my skull. We locked eyes in the side back up mirrors. He could see what he was doing the whole time. I was busted up bad, broken neck, pelvis broke in 3 places, my vertabrea were either cracked or ruptured and my chest has been rebuilt twice now. While I lay in that hospital bed he was posting pictures of him and his new live…in my car…her on the back of our harley, her with my Helmut and jacket on. Them kissing. And in all the comments his friends and family were telling him how happy they look. Not one of his huge family that I’ve been part of for ten years asked hey where’s gloria, your wife? Not one called the hospital or came to see me. I’m so screwed up over it, I’m in constant pain and I just don’t understand why he keeps on enjoying life while I fled the state and now live isolated and alone, but safe. If she’s serious about Lea ing…she has to make a plan. Get her ducks in a row, make sure she has all her official documents. And she has to go no contact. None. He will draw her back in and then punish her for trying to leave. I’m in Alaska, I have a nice home, and I would help her if she is sure she’s ready. If you want to talk further about this, I’m pretty much an expert on d.v. and narcissists. I can give her a room and the help she will need to become herself again. They have wonderful people and programs and housing for survivors…medical and whatever else she would need. Just something to consider.
