You know that feeling when you just need a simple online tool — to compress an image, count words, or convert a file — and you end up clicking through five different sketchy sites full of ads, pop-ups, and fake “Download” buttons?
Yeah, I’ve been there too.
As a computer engineering student, I constantly needed quick utilities for assignments or personal projects — but I never trusted those random websites. I just wanted something clean, safe, and fast. No logins, no suspicious pop-ups, no “premium” limits. So one day, after wasting ten minutes trying to compress a single image, I decided to build my own solution.
That’s how FreeUniTools was born — a simple, privacy-friendly collection of online tools designed for students, freelancers, developers, and creators.
FreeUniTools is divided into a few main categories:
- 🧮 Number Tools: calculators, random number generators, percentage finders, and converters.
- ✍️ Text Tools: word counters, case converters, and ASCII converters.
- 🖼️ Image Tools: image compressors, converters, resizers, and EXIF metadata viewers.
Everything runs directly in your browser — nothing gets uploaded or stored anywhere. You can use all the tools instantly, without creating an account or worrying about your data.
It started just for me, but then I realized it could help a lot of people who also get annoyed searching for reliable sites to do simple things. Not everything needs to be an app or powered by AI — sometimes you just need a fast, trustworthy tool that gets the job done.
My goal is to make FreeUniTools a kind of digital Swiss-army knife for everyday tasks — built by someone who got tired of sketchy download buttons.
