I just want a good dinosaur movie that isn’t franchised to death like Jurassic park.

And don’t get me wrong, Michael Chrichton was one of my favorite writers growing up, and Spielbergs Jurassic Park was incredible, along with The Lost World, but when is someone going to do a huge budget dinosaur movie that’s actually set in prehistoric times, or even a futuristic setting where dinosaurs have evolved into something completely new? I feel like the genre is so untapped. They are such an interesting subject, and with the relatively new comeback of mainstream historical movies, why is no one going all the way back? I’d love to see the chicxulub asteroid hit on the big screen, or explore the vast jungles and plethora of flora and fauna before they were wiped out in the impact.
