I liked Gemini for it being easy to use and long term memory… until those things changed.

I subscribed to Gemini Pro because I love it that it was intuitive and I could have long, creative threads that Gemini would remember and manage for me and that all came to a crashing halt this morning.

In the past, I didn't need to use "Gems" for my AI writing assistant. It seemed to learn about my like and dislikes and what it's duties were to me based solely on our interactions. I could keep bookmarks where different conversations were saved in tabs could be trusted to remember where we left off on various projects.

Now, that all seems to have changed. If I want a reliable writing assistant, I need to create a Gem for it?? Seriously? I had trained one version of Gemini AI to help me on three different writing projects and now it doesn't even remember that two of them exist. Fortunately, I had backed up some key elements in my Google Docs, but now I am worried to trust Google to remember ANY of my important data. Can Google be trusted?

Seriously guys, how did Gemini become so untrustworthy and harder to use overnight?
