I have an uncle with a cognitive disability. I stepped up to help him after he was basically abandoned. Got him into a HUD program for housing and got him a part time job doing basic tasks just to get him out of the house a few times per week. I made sure his hours and pay were under the limmits for his HUD and social security. We made a budget and he had been following it. Well when it came time to do his Indiana FSSA re determination for medicaid this year, his savings account was over the limit. and he got disqualified now they are taking like $400 out of his social security check to pay for his insurance and its leaving him with basically nothing. i have 30ish days to appeal the decision but obviously i want to be above board on this, how do i get him back under the limmit in a way that will get him re approved?
