People say daily posting on TikTok is the fastest way to grow. I didn’t believe it — until I tested it myself.
Thirty days. Every single day. No excuses.
And then I just kept going for another four months.
Here’s what I discovered.
Step One: Pick a Topic You Won’t Get Bored Of
If you’re just chasing trends, you’ll run out of energy fast.
Choosing a clear niche makes everything easier. For me, that was hockey — something I could talk about endlessly. Whether it’s NHL trades or fan culture, I always had something new to post.
Step Two: Write Down Every Idea
Don’t overthink your first brainstorming session.
List everything you can post about, from tutorials to opinions to short skits. Then choose which ones you’d actually enjoy filming. Passion beats trends every time.
Step Three: Choose Your Format
Some days I filmed commentary videos, others were simple clips with text on screen.
You can do duets, stitches, photos, quotes — mix it up. The point is to stay visible without burning out.
Step Four: Always Stay One Step Ahead
Have at least five ready-to-go drafts.
There will be lazy days, sick days, busy days — and those drafts will save your streak. Add full captions with proper keywords for better reach.
Step Five: Don’t Post Anything You’d Scroll Past
I always re-watch my videos and ask: Would I actually watch this?
If not, I fix it. Sometimes that means reshooting. Good lighting and decent sound are musts. TikTok is casual, but people still scroll fast.
The Outcome
Month 1: 487k views and 1,520 comments
Month 2: 188k views, still solid
Month 4: 220k views, steady engagement
Month 5: 227k views, 244 comments
In five months, I reached 1.3 million views without one viral hit.
And that’s the beauty of it — you don’t need to blow up. You need to show up.
People started recognizing me, commenting often, and DMing me about hockey. I got 2 people who asked me to take a picture with me in real life. LOL.
That’s how communities form — slowly, through consistency.
My Honest Takeaway
Posting daily isn’t easy. But it builds discipline and connection.
You’ll improve faster than you expect. You’ll also stop caring about “bad” numbers because you’ll see the bigger picture.
