I stopped being upset when spotting AI comments/posts in the wild for this reason-

I used to feel really angry about seeing ChatGPT syntax in every comment section (Reddit, YouTube, insta). But every time there’s a post/comment using AI, there are a buuunch of real people saying “beautifully said/worded” “I couldn’t have said it better myself” “wonderfully put.”

So I stopped being angry when I saw AI type posts and comments. Although of course I would also prefer an authentic comment from a real person, it seems to really resonate with a group of people whether they are boomers or just tech illiterate. These AI comments give people something to resonate with but they likely don’t use AI themselves. Maybe it’s the same feeling I felt when I started using AI- like wow, what great insights! (Though I hate the ‘not this—but that’ stuff)

Though there’s the argument these people online didn’t consent to interacting with a robot, I still think these comments and posts seem to generate real discussion so what’s the harm in that? Anybody have any counterpoints or feel similarly?
