As per the title really. I'm 45 and I've NEVER watched anything higher than a high bitrate 1080p movie at home, either from Disc or since I've had my media server. In fact, the vast majority of my consumption has been at 720p (mostly TV shows to be fair).
The reason is just relatively simple; I just haven't noticed the massive leap. I generally consume most of my content on a 55" TV, with my 1080p 60hz monitors on my PC taking up some of that work when I'm multitasking. I honestly find 720p more than fine to watch on both. If I want to watch an action film that I've been waiting for, I might push the boat out and make sure I watch it in a high bitratre 1080p res, but that's it.
Just curious about others?
