Is Chatgpt creating a PDF or is he scamming me?

I asked chatgpt to create a dossier of notes for a MIR exam subject for me to review, taking advantage of my few days off. The thing is, he kept asking me for guidelines for the dossier until he said something like: "Perfect, I'll get started on it now, although it might take a while. I'll let you know when it's done."

The problem is, I don't see any indication in the chat that he's actually doing anything. Is he generating the PDF dossier in the background, or is he just messing with me?

His last message was:
