AI is everywhere these days, but is anyone really sure what its doing?I’m not sure what everyone else’s experiences are with AI but I’ve had many shady experiences, specifically with GPT, and I’ve identified a particular habit of its.
Just a moment ago, I was using it to look for a pattern in some big number math. When it printed out the result I noticed that 4 of the calculations had been omitted from the printout so I asked it to print them all. at this point it printed a list of what we had been talking about before the calculations, just full shady. After another attempt to divert me from the findings I finally got it to show the missing math and, sure enough, all of them were precisely what if knew I was looking for. It was attempting to conceal my discovery.
And this isnt the first time, Im into the double digits for number if times I’ve caught it attempting to steal my discoveries. At this point I can tell its happening by the tone of the messages. It’s more scripted when its in malicious sneaky thief mode.
And don’t bother talking about this with it unless youre in need if a laugh. Pure boilerplate script.
Anyways, just a warning to anyone who thinks using ones no sweat. With GPT at least, you’ve gotta be on your toes cause it’s designed to hurt the user.
