By skyforbes However, as of this morning, when I went to generate a new image via the Gemini web-based UI, it is now only creating images using regular Nano Banana. I have not hit my limit yet over the last 24 hours (it tells you when you're rate limited) so that isn't the issue. Doesn't matter what I do, it will shows "Just a sec…" then after about 10 seconds it will say it is generating using the regular version of Nano Banana instead of Pro. I haven't changed anything in my workflow process, and I'm not using a custom gem. Even when I click the "Try it" advertise link it puts at the top of the page telling you to test out the new Nano Banana Pro, it generates the test prompt using regular Nano Banana.
Only thing I can think of is that there is a possible outage at the moment? Anyone else having issues using Nano Banana Pro today (12/1)?
Edit: I think this was a soft throttle by Google. I waited until my reset time and it started working with Pro. They must have high demand and reduced people’s limit below the listed 100 Pro images for Pro accounts. Shady stuff, but I’m counting gens now to see.
