There was this episode of Adventure Time called "Everything is Jake". In this episode, Jake goes into another world that is inside of him, and everything IS him. He has a friend named "Goose" who knows him, but Jake doesn't know him. Jake does some chinanigenz then ends up leaving the world and makes himself a snack in his kitchen. In the end, his brother/friend, Finn, asks him "Jake, what are you doing?" and Jakes says "Just making a snack, Goose… Just making a snack" I didn't think much of this, until I watched this goofy silly little Videogamedunkey youtube video of him just narrating a half-baked story of a guy named Bill going into another world and making a friend named, "Grilbo". But in the end of this story , Bill goes back into his own world, someone goes up to him and asks "What are you doing", and Bill kinda does what Jake by refering this the person as his friend from another world, Bill says "Making Cheetoz, Grilbo… Making Cheetoz". Is this some popular trope that I'm not knowing. A guy goes into another world, makes a friend in that world, leaves the world and leaves his friend, then the protagonist calls his friend in the real world the name of the friend from the other world… WTF AM I SAYING?! I just wanna know if this is some old movie of sorts.. Or am I in the wrong place to ask this?
