The trailer begins with Rumi, “It’s time.”

It’s a quick flash, but you see the 3 main characters: Rumi, Mira, and Zoey.

You then see the 3 girls performing in a large arena in front of thousands of fans.

Two girls in the crowd had their jaws drop.

“The world will know you as pop stars,” says a voiceover who sounds like an older female mentor figure.

“But you will be much more than that.”

You see 3 demons crawling out of a wall. It cuts to the 3 hunters in action: Rumi using her sword, Mira using a Woldo, and Zoey with her throwing knives.

“You will be Hunters!”

The hunters sliced and diced the demons in a PG anime way, where if they slice a demon, it explodes into pink-purple sparks.

They sliced off all the demons in a few seconds.

But then….

“Hey!” you hear the voice of an old man. You see a shirtless old man, only covering his crotch area with a towel. “This is the men’s bathroom!”

The hunters apologized and bowed. In Korean culture, bowing is part of the apology.

It cuts to loud cheering fans outside the arena. You see a male fan watching the MV (music video) of the HUNTR/X, the name of their KPop girl group. However, a demon came out of the wall behind the fan and sucked his soul.

“Their stealing the souls of our fans?” Zoey said. “Let’s send those disgusting demons back to the depths were they below.”

Mira’s face became guttural and twisted, “Yeahhhhh!”

“Yeahhhh!” Zoey responded.

But their faces got even more guttural and twisted. “YEAHHH!” Mira shouted, flexing her muscles.

“YEAHHHH!,” Zoey shouted as she raised both arms.

Rumi looked at the two girls, her left eyebrow raised.

But then….

“YEAAAAAHHHHHHH!”

“Let’s get battle-ready,” Rumi said.

They slapped their faces and applied face paint.

And then…..

You see the final form of the KPop Demon Hunters as they sliced and diced the demons around them.

The scene turned black.

It cuts to hell. A Jeoseung Saja floated down, playing a guitar. It wore a black Hanbok and a black Gat (traditional Korean hat). BTW, a Jeoseung Saja in Korean culture is like the Grim Reaper.

“I could destroy the hunters, for good,” Jinu said.

You then see 5 Jeoseung Saja.

You see Jinu’s face. It’s handsome despite the yellow tiger eyes and purple veins all over his face. “It’s time for a new strategy.”

You then hear…

CLICK!

It’s a soda can opening. The fun and bubbly Soda Pop song plays. You then see Jinu along with a boy group of five guys dancing and singing to the Soda Pop KPop song.

This is freakin’ brilliant. There are 2 types of KPop songs (opinion).

  1. Cool and Badass
  2. Sweet and Bubbly

Choosing a Sweet and Bubbly song for the Saja Boys, who are demons, is a perfect, fun twist for kids and the whole family. It’s the type of song you release for summer or spring. But here are a few examples of songs from my two categories.

Cool and Badass KPop Songs

  1. Blackpink — How You Like That
  2. BTS — Mic Drop
  3. Katseye — Gnarly
  4. Stray Kids — Chk Chk Boom
  5. Itzy — Mafia in the Morning

Sweet and Bubbly KPop Songs

  1. Blackpink — Ice Cream
  2. BTW — Dynamite
  3. Illit — Magnetic
  4. NCT Dream — Beatbox
  5. Katseye — Touch

So the Saja Boys sang and danced in the middle of a street during the day. Fans gathered around. Women, and I presume, even men, are mesmerized by their looks and talent. Mira and Zoey had hearts popped out of their eyes. Zoey’s eyes became round corn. And then the buttons of one of the Saja Boys popped out and hit her in the eye. The buttons became melted butter. She blushed…but then the red covered all over her face.

“AAAAAHHHHHHHH!” Zoey screamed in joy/shock/amazement as the corn in her eyes exploded into popcorn. God! I cannot believe I wrote that.

But then, as the Saja Boys performed, it seems only the 3 girls, who are disguised as regular civilians, noticed the purple demon veins.

“A demon boyband,” Rumi said. “They’re coming after the fans.”

Fans are going crazy — old fans, young fans, even Asian aunties are going crazy.

The song ended as the Saja Boys did an ending pose. That’s something unique to the Asian pop culture. I don’t see that much in American music. In KPop, especially after a performance, the group does an ending pose, showcasing their overall look to the fans, panting and sweaty and all. It’s part of the performance.

A voiceover from a loudspeaker says, “The Saja Boys!”

“Let’s go get these guys!” Rumi declared.

It cuts to nighttime. It’s a large outdoor show as you see HUNTR/X performing on stage. You also see the Saja Boys perform in their full black Hanbok attire.

The two groups passed by each other backstage. The Saja Boys didn’t even look at them. The HUNTR/X sneered and rolled their eyes. In KPop, the rivalries between the groups are real too. Let’s remember, each KPop group is a PRODUCT of a large billion-dollar corporation. These companies are competing with each other, much like Apple is competing with Amazon and Tesla. And each KPop group has rabid fandoms. And things can get toxic. Back in the day, most KPop fans were within South Korea and Asia. But now, the whole world is their stage. The larger your fandom grows, unfortunately, the more toxic it gets.

“You think you’re just gonna steal our fans?” Rumi told the Saja Boys. “You’re gonna have to fight us for that.”

You then see the full form of the KPop Demon Hunters, with their colorful costumes and weapons, and the Saja Boys with their black Hanbok, Gat, and purple vein demon skins.

The background music is How It’s Done by HUNTR/X, performed by TWICE members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung.

🎵“How it’s Done! Done! Done!”🎵

You see the 3 girls singing How It’s Done on stage.

You see Zoey writing songs on a notepad and then rapping on stage.

It cuts to them fighting demons on a plane that was cut in half.

“Yeah! This plan is trash,” Mira said.

And then the 3 girls ate and slurped their ramen.

You then see the 3 girls skydive from the plane.

“Everything is at stake,” Mira said.

You see them slice some demons that almost attacked a group of 3 old women.

You see the girls on top of a train. And then, a LARGE SWARM of demons attacked them from the opposite side.

🎵“Done! Done! Done!”🎵
