Laravel makes local development easy by using different methods. One such method available for Windows users is Laravel sail
After setting up all requirements, all that is needed is to go to the root folder and run the sail up command.
Sometimes, you run into errors like the one in the image below.
To fix this error, you can first check which application is using the port you have assigned. This will help you decide if you need a new port.
It is possible that no application is using the port; the port might just be listed among the range of ports that can’t be used.
You can check if port is in the range using by opening cmd and inputting the command below
netsh interface ipv4 show excludedportrange protocol=tcp
If you find the port needed in the list, you can clear it by stopping and restarting winnat with the below commands
net stop winnat
net start winnat
