Job SummaryThe Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for three full-time Lecturer positions to begin August 1, 2026. The selected candidates will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. The first year Distribution of Effort will be 90% Teaching, and 10% Departmental service. The preferred candidates will have experience teaching both introductory and advanced undergraduate courses. Duties will include instruction, some graduate mentoring, and departmental service. Lecturers are vital to the teaching mission of the Mathematics department. The department is seeking applicants who intend to establish a long-term teaching career within the Department. Evidence of teaching excellence is valued and so are administrative, organizational, and mentoring skills required to teach and coordinate large classes.A Ph.D. degree in mathematics or a closely related field by the time of the appointment is required.In order to be considered a candidate, applicants will need to complete the following two steps:1.
