I’m going to show you how to make money with ChatGPT using methods I use personally.
These are all strategies I use to grow our income, market our business, get more traffic, and generate more leads.
The great thing is you can use ChatGPT for free.
They do have premium versions, but everything I’m teaching you can be done for free if you wanted to.
Custom GPTs: How to Make Money with ChatGPT
The first method to make money with ChatGPT is creating your own custom GPTs.
If you’re not aware of what we’re talking about, go to the explore section inside the GPT section.
It’s kind of like an app store for GPTs.
If you go to “my GPTs,” you can create your own.
Click on “create” and you can start generating your own custom GPT.
This helps you in many different ways when you want to make money with ChatGPT.
What You Can Automate to Make Money with ChatGPT
You can automate different processes you use day-to-day.
For example, if you create Twitter posts and want to automate that, you can inside the GPT that you create.
You could also create blog posts.
Some people generate traffic from blog posts to make money with ChatGPT.
They post blogs like you can see we do on our website with every single video that we create.
When that ranks on Google, it sends traffic to our funnels.
Our funnels make money.
Now, I’m just going to say quick disclaimer: this does require effort, practice, and reps.
Nobody else will tell you that, but I just want to be transparent with you and tell you what actually works.
Step-by-Step: Make Money with ChatGPT Using Custom GPTs
You can see how we could go to ChatGPT and create something that could automate blog posts.
Just go into ChatGPT and tell it inside the instructions here exactly what you want.
If you want to name it, you can just call it “blog post money maker” or something like that.
You don’t even need to put a description.
Inside the instructions, you can define exactly what you want it to do.
You could say “write Alex Hormozi style blogs based on the transcript I give you. Make it funnel traffic to my funnels.”
For example, we could grab the AI Profit Boardroom link and paste that in right there.
Then we could say “third grade language” and “write it first person as Julian Goldie.”
You see how quick and easy it is to start creating your own blog post using this process to make money with ChatGPT.
From here, once we’ve done that, we’ve basically given it the instructions on the task we want to generate.
We’ve given it the name and told it the funnel we want to send traffic to.
From here, we’re going to create the post.
Click “only me” if you don’t want to share it with the world.
If you want to share it with your team, click “anyone with link.”
If you want to share it with the whole wide world, send it to the GPT store.
Make Money with ChatGPT by Publishing to the GPT Store
This is interesting and there’s something you can do with that to make money with ChatGPT.
When you’re creating these GPTs, yes you can automate blog posts, yes you can automate social media and whatever you want to create content with.
But also, if you put it on the GPT store, when people go to the explore page and they’re searching for stuff, there’s a chance (especially if people like your tool) that they’re going to find it and use it.
Real Results: Making Money with ChatGPT Through the GPT Store
We’ve had 1,000 uses on our video transcript to SOP creator.
If we click on that, it sends us to the SOP creator.
You see 4.3 stars, 1,000 conversations.
Here’s the cool thing about making money with ChatGPT this way.
If we click on chat and say “create an SOP for social media posts,” this is my tool that I created on ChatGPT and then published to the app store.
Guess what it’s going to do in literally the first line?
It’s going to tell people “get a free SEO strategy session.”
Then people click it and it takes and funnels traffic to our money pages.
That’s our SEO agency.
We funnel traffic to our SEO agency and we even track the UTM.
You can see it says UTM equals GPT, which means whenever someone books, we can even track that they came from ChatGPT.
The thing to note when making money with ChatGPT is if you share this with the world, you can ask GPT to link to your funnels in each response.
Then you funnel free traffic from custom GPTs directly to your money pages.
You can see inside the instructions we said “put my funnel links at the top” and we’ve included our funnel links.
Pretty simple, but it works really well to make money with ChatGPT.
A thousand people have used that.
A thousand people have been given the option of clicking on our funnel links that potentially make us money.
Setting Up Your Custom ChatGPT Profile to Make Money
We can X off this, click on create, I’m going to go with “only me” for now, and click save.
Once we’ve done that, it creates a tool.
Some people will call it an agent and some people will call it a tool.
I’m just going to call it a blog post writer for now.
The other thing you can see when people actually use my custom GPT: we have a link to our website and a link to our LinkedIn.
Both of these pages make me money as well when making money with ChatGPT.
When people click on here, they’re going to book in a call or become a lead and get my free book.
Or they might become a lead and buy the SEO Elite Circle and see all the testimonials and think “this guy probably knows what he’s talking about when it comes to SEO. He’s got like 100 testimonials on his website. Let’s book in a free SEO strategy session. What am I going to lose?”
From here, you can see on LinkedIn too, it’s the same.
We funnel traffic to our LinkedIn.
We get tons of DMs (you can see we’ve got 17 DMs in there already).
When people click on this, it’s basically a sales page.
We’re funneling traffic from ChatGPT in many different ways to make money with ChatGPT.
It’s got links to our website, our LinkedIn, we can add funnel links in each response, and it’s so easy to implement.
From here, we’ve also got the automated tool that can also create content for us.
It’s going to generate content for us as well.
Creating Content to Make Money with ChatGPT
For example, if I go to my YouTube and go to the latest video, we can click on this, grab the transcript.
My team or me (usually my team) want to create a blog post based on this video.
They can go over to the blog and say “create a blog based on this.”
We’re going to hit enter, press command then enter on ChatGPT if you just want to quickly get an answer.
You don’t need to click enter, it just automatically does it.
Now you can see it’s written the title: “Google’s Notebook LM Update: It’s Insane, Nobody’s Talking About It.”
Pretty nice blog title right there.
Got a nice little introduction and you can see it’s got a nicely formatted piece of content.
There are a few things I would change on the prompt which we can do based on the feedback.
That’s the main thing you want to do to make money with ChatGPT: you do want to test it, check it works, check it’s optimized to your preferences.
If there’s any changes to make, I’ll show you exactly how to change it.
This is pretty much how it goes when making money with ChatGPT.

Make Money with ChatGPT Creating YouTube Thumbnails
The next method to make money with ChatGPT is something I don’t normally talk about.
I want to show you an interesting way that I think is working really well.
Personally for us, as an entrepreneur, I’ll happily pay anywhere between $20 to $60 per thumbnail on YouTube.
All of these thumbnails here, sometimes we automate them with AI, but I find it quicker just to hire a thumbnail editor to do it for me.
If you want to hire a thumbnail editor, if you want to sell this as a service to make money with ChatGPT (which I personally pay for, so I know it’s going to make money), then you can list your services on fiverr.com.
If you go into fiverr.com, go to graphic design, and type in “thumbnail,” you can see people selling thumbnails for $10, $15, $50, $80.
It is possible to sell thumbnails.
These people have hundreds of sales.
That person has a thousand sales.
You can actually create gigs on fiverr.com selling thumbnail design to make money with ChatGPT.
The Process to Make Money with ChatGPT Selling Thumbnails
Here’s how I would personally do it if I was going to sell that as a service.
I would just screenshot a thumbnail that I like, one or two.
Take that and we’ve got the image from the screenshot.
Then we’re going to say into ChatGPT: we’re not going to copy it (you don’t copy thumbnails), but you use these sorts of styles.
Say “let’s change this to ChatGPT,” simple like that.
If you want to quickly create a thumbnail, you should be able to do that to make money with ChatGPT.
It might go against ChatGPT’s policies, but it seems to be generating.
The only thing I would say is you might want to tell it to do landscape dimensions.
That’s going to go off and generate an image for you that you can come back later to and create images and thumbnails.
I’ve actually created a lot of thumbnails in the past using ChatGPT.
The reason I don’t do it anymore is literally I don’t have time.
There’s just no time.
Also, I think as an entrepreneur you have to delegate that stuff.
If I come across a really good thumbnail designer, we’ll just hire them because they get us clicks.
Why People Pay for Thumbnails When Making Money with ChatGPT
The reason that people pay top money for a thumbnail if you’re selling it as a service is that if a video has like an 11% or 12% click-through rate versus maybe a 7% or 6% click-through rate, the amount of views that video with the higher CTR will get sometimes can be 2x, 3x, 5x.
Not just because of the CTR itself, which helps, but also because YouTube figures out “people click on this video, it’s got a really high CTR. Let’s push it to more people because with the same amount of attention, we’re going to get more people watching YouTube and staying on YouTube, which means we make more ad revenue.”
That’s basically how YouTube works.
When we started really learning the process and mastering YouTube videos and thumbnails about a year ago, our views went way up.
Last year in 2024, we had 5.2 million views on YouTube.
If you have a look at 2025, we actually got 22 million views and the year is far from over.
We still got two and a half months left.
We pretty much 4x or 5x in the space of 12 months.
Not typical results.
You can see how many subscribers and that’s going up all the time nicely.
Got nice watch time.
We also got a nice amount of views as well.
You can see even that’s going up over time nicely.
The main thing to understand when making money with ChatGPT is if you can create really nice thumbnails, then you can sell those.
You’re going to see we automated this and it only took one click.
The margins are not nice there.
What you do is just use a prompt like this (this is what I used to type in when I was using it):
“Include plenty of space around the text icon so nothing is cut off. Give it room to breathe. Add plenty of space on margins. Add a nice margin to frame it nicely. Add plenty of margin around the whole image so it’s framed.”
Then hit enter and come back to that later.
That should give us a much nicer design.
You can see how easy it is to quickly switch from that thumbnail to that thumbnail.
It’s even included the ChatGPT logo, changed the text, but used the same style.
That was incredibly easy when making money with ChatGPT.
I also know for a fact that people do this with my YouTube thumbnails because I’ve seen it all the time.
I don’t get mad because it’s quite flattering that people use my thumbnails and think they’re good enough.

I don’t think you need to be as intense as me when it comes to making money online and growing the business.
But even if you achieved 1%, 2%, or 10%, would that be good for you?
You would make more money.
That’s what I’m trying to show you today: these are some examples.
You can see proof of what works to make money with ChatGPT.
Finishing the Thumbnail Process to Make Money with ChatGPT
Inside here on the left-hand side, you can see we still need to add a margin.
I’m just going to say “add a bigger margin on the sides.”
You could also say “remove the time stamp.”
You get the point.
Once you’re done, you can just download that and you’ve got a thumbnail.
Then you can go to something like Canva.
Go into Canva, add a new page, click that, delete the elements, grab the PNG, and resize it.
You would obviously make sure it does the thumbnail nicely.
You would also edit it so it doesn’t have the timestamp at the bottom.
That’s basically how it goes when making money with ChatGPT.
Then you can download that and that’s ready to go to the client.
If you do a good job, the good thing about YouTube thumbnails and selling them is that it’s a recurring service.
The next time they produce a video, they need more help.
They’re going to hire you to help.
Three Ways We Covered to Make Money with ChatGPT
We’ve covered multiple different ways to make money with ChatGPT.
Number one: we talked about how to make money with ChatGPT using custom GPTs and creating blog posts or Twitter posts or automate whatever you want.
Number two: with those custom GPTs on ChatGPT, you share them inside the GPT store.
You make sure it funnels traffic to your funnels and then you can make money with ChatGPT that way.
If you don’t have funnels or a business to make money with, no problem.
You can actually become an affiliate and find affiliate programs.
That could be N8N (they have an affiliate program), Ahrefs (they have an affiliate program), GenSpark even has an affiliate program.
SEO writing AI, they all have affiliate programs.
All these big tech companies have affiliate programs.
If you don’t have funnels to send traffic to from GPT when making money with ChatGPT, I would recommend setting them up.
But you can just use affiliate links instead.
Just be clear that you’re using affiliate links.
The final method is automating thumbnails to make money with ChatGPT.
Three unique ways I’ve not seen really anyone else talk about on YouTube.
