MakeUGC is an AI tool that lets you create UGC-style ads fast.
On this platform, you don’t need to hire actors or know how to film or edit. Just write your script, pick an AI creator, and the ad is ready in minutes.
I subscribed to a paid plan on this platform to test it out for you.
Let me show you my results, how to use it, pros, cons, and more.
My Results
Before I show you how to use the tool, here are a few UGC ads I made with it.
That one’s my favorite because of the accent and how real it looks.
Here’s another ad I made in a similar style:
And here’s a short b-roll clip I made using a photo I took of a shirt:
Pretty cool, right?
Now let me show you how to make one yourself.
How to Use It
Let me show you how to use MakeUGC.
If you don’t want to do it with me, you can just follow along. You’ll still get a good idea of how the tool works.
First, go to their website and click on “Create Your First Ad.”
Then sign up.
Set up your project page and tell the tool a little about yourself.
Then choose a plan. This one’s much more affordable than most others on the list.
After you’ve picked your plan, you can start creating your ad.
I used the “Avatar Video” feature to make my UGC AI ads.
Next, you can either write your own script or let the AI do it for you.
I went with the second option and told the AI I wanted a UGC ad for a pair of tennis shorts.
In a few seconds, it came up with a 700-character script.
Next, the tool asks you to choose a voice actor. There are plenty to pick from, and you can use the filters on the left to narrow them down.
I picked Richard as my voice actor.
After that, the tool lets you adjust the voice settings. You can change things like clarity, tone, emotion, and speed.
I suggest keeping your audience in mind here. Some people like a fast, ADHD-style delivery, while others prefer a calm and steady tone.
Once that’s set, it’s time to generate the voice clip for the AI.
When it’s ready, play the voice clip to preview it. Make sure it sounds the way you want.
If the voice sounds good, you can move on to creating the ad.
At this point, the AI lip-syncs the video to match the voice clip. Be ready to wait a bit while it generates the UGC ad.
After waiting around 30 minutes, I got my first UGC ad from the tool.
Here’s what it looked like:
Pretty cool, right?
Honestly, unless you look really closely, you can’t even tell it’s AI.
The only problem in my case is that the guy just talks without showing anything. I’d like it better if there were some cuts showing the shirt he’s talking about, or at least a way to add the product into the video.
There are editing options for that, though.
But as you can see, those options only let you tweak the script or adjust the voice.
So let’s make another one.
This time, I’ll create an ad for my new course where I teach people how to rank on Google.
Here’s the result:
This is honestly amazing. She even has the accent and everything.
Again, there’s no b-roll or editing, but the actor looks so real it’s hard to believe.
I do wonder what’ll happen when tools like this flood the internet and almost everything you see is AI-generated. It might make blogs, videos, and images lose some of their impact.
But for now, tools like this can give you a real edge since most people aren’t using them yet.
Next, let’s check out the b-roll video feature.
You can’t add b-roll directly to the UGC ads, but there’s a separate feature made for that.
Then upload an image to the workspace.
For example, I’ll use my tennis shirt photo.
The tool will then write a short description of what happens in the b-roll video. You can edit it if you want, but I’ll stick with the default version for now.
Then click “Confirm & Use This Image” to start the process.
Then wait for the AI to generate the b-roll footage for your UGC ad.
Here’s what I got for my t-shirt:
That’s pretty cool! It looks like I shot a nice video myself, complete with background music.
To be honest, I don’t think clips like this fit UGC ads that well since they can look a bit too polished.
But the shirt clip I made earlier feels more natural, and it would work great as extra footage for one of the talking clips.
