Trying to figure out how to keep my daughter’s Medicaid without financially breaking us. I’ve already had some issues with income limits this year. I had to increase 401k contributions to make sure she is eligible. They switched her from home state to mo health net for this year. I was lucky they waived the payment. I really couldn’t afford $1500-1800. We are working to get back on chip next year. I recently found out I’ll have to work 8-14 hours of over time indefinitely into next year and beyond. I’ve asked about the Sarah Lopez waiver and was told she scored high for it but they would not be filing it. All the over time will have me maxing out 401k contributions before the year is out. Do fsa and dc fsa contributions work like 401k to bring income down to qualify still. Is there other ways beyond those I can figure this out? I would just put her on my insurance but no daycare is capable of taking care of her. Between nursing care and school is the only way I’m working now.
