Most U.S. movies that include aliens or other space-related threats typically depict the U.S. Air Force as the responding military branch. Now that the U.S. Space Force has been created, do you think filmmakers will start using it instead when making these types of films?

Most space-themed films, with a few exceptions like Arrival, traditionally portray the Air Force as the military branch taking charge whenever aliens or cosmic threats appear. As the Space Force becomes more established and visible in real life, younger generations may look back at these movies and wonder why the Air Force was shown leading operations that now seem far more aligned with the Space Force’s responsibilities, potentially viewing those portrayals as outdated or historically tied to the era before the new branch existed.
